By accessing or using SpellQuests ("the Service"), operated by SpellQuests ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
SpellQuests is a complete AI-powered Game Master and Virtual Tabletop platform for tabletop role-playing games. The Service includes AI game mastering, interactive battle maps with dynamic lighting and fog of war, real-time multiplayer sync, AI image generation, character sheet management, dice rolling, and related features available through our web application.
3. Account Registration
To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Subscriptions & Payments
SpellQuests offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of content you create using SpellQuests, including characters, quests, and campaign notes. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to operate the platform.
You agree not to upload content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
6. AI-Generated Content
SpellQuests uses artificial intelligence to generate narrative content, encounters, and game responses. AI-generated content is provided "as is" and may not always be accurate, appropriate, or aligned with your expectations. We continuously work to improve output quality but make no guarantees regarding AI responses.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service
- Share your account credentials with third parties
- Circumvent usage limits or access controls
8. Intellectual Property
SpellQuests, its logo, design, and underlying technology are the intellectual property of SpellQuests. D&D 5E game mechanics referenced in the Service are used under the Open Game License (OGL) and Systems Reference Document (SRD). Wizards of the Coast and Dungeons & Dragons are trademarks of Hasbro, Inc.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SpellQuests shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may export your data before termination where technically feasible.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
12. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration.
